Which headwear is suitable for triathlon?

Unlike on the bike leg, lightweight, sweat-wicking caps or headbands are used for the run leg; they keep sweat away from your eyes without adding heat in summer races.

On the bike leg, most athletes do without additional headwear under the helmet, as time trial helmets usually fit closely and leave little room for extra volume – unlike in pure road cycling, where thin under-helmet caps are used more often.

For the run leg in strong sunshine, some athletes also prefer a lightweight peaked cap instead of just a headband to give their eyes extra protection from glare.
