Cycling overshoes from Gore Wear are pulled over the cycling shoe and keep your feet and shoes warm and dry in cold, wind and rain.
Which overshoe for which weather?
Thin overshoes made of windproof material are intended for cool days and mainly keep out the wind. Thick thermal overshoes made of neoprene or with a warming lining are for winter. For rain, you need waterproof models with sealed seams. Short toe covers only protect the toes and are the lightest option for the transitional season.
The opening in the sole for the cleats is important. It must match your own cleat, otherwise the overshoe slips when you clip in.
Tip: After a ride in the rain, turn overshoes inside out to dry. If they are folded up wet, neoprene and lining soon start to smell.
