Gravel shoes are between road and MTB shoes.

Why the two-bolt system is decisive

On gravel, you get off the bike: on steep ramps, at gates, on sections where you push. With the two-bolt system, the cleat is recessed into the tread so that you can walk on it safely.

For sole stiffness: the more kilometres on firm ground, the stiffer it can be. Dial closures can be operated with gloves and readjusted on the way when the foot swells after hours.

Before you buy, check whether your pedals are compatible with the two-bolt system. Changing the pedals is usually cheaper than compromising on the shoe.
