The sole of Northwave's gravel winter shoes is designed for two-bolt cleats, as is usual for gravel and mountain biking.
Gravel riding in winter often means wet tracks and spray. A high cuff with a membrane keeps your feet dry for much longer than a summer shoe with an overshoe.
Tip: After wet rides, take out the insole and stuff the shoe with newspaper. That way it dries overnight without the membrane suffering.
