On the way to work or through the city, the jacket should protect you from wind and rain, but not look like sportswear when you arrive.

Suitable for everyday use, not for racing

Reflective elements are present but used discreetly: they light up in headlights and remain invisible in daylight.

For weather protection, there is a simple trade-off. If you ride every day and have to go out in any weather, you need a real rain jacket with taped seams. For most people, a water-repellent model that keeps out short showers and breathes much better is enough.

With hoods, the design matters. A hood that fits over the helmet restricts your view over your shoulder; one that sits underneath only works with thin material. Removable solutions are therefore the most flexible option for everyday use.

Check the back length. A jacket that fits well when standing can be too short on the bike, and that is exactly where the spray from the rear wheel hits.
