A winter glove has to combine two things: it should insulate and keep out the wind, but it must not be so thick that you can no longer operate the brake and gear levers safely. Thinner models are suited to autumn and spring, thicker ones to frost.
In severe cold, a thin liner glove under the Nalini winter glove helps. On long descents, your fingers cool down fastest because they hardly move.
Tip: Do not choose winter gloves too tight. There should be a little air between your fingertips and the fabric, because the warmth is held in this layer of air.
