Numbness in the fingers after long rides is usually caused by pressure on the heel of the hand, which padding in the palm relieves.
Non-slip material on the fingertips makes it easier to operate gears and brakes, even in the wet. For the transitional seasons there are models with a slightly windproof upper.
Tip: Close gloves before washing. Open Velcro fasteners damage other items.
