Retro cycling jackets

Retro cycling jackets use calm colours, clear lines and materials with a matt surface. Shiny membranes and neon accents are deliberately absent.
What defines the style
Typical features are single-colour areas with narrow contrasting stripes on the arm or chest, sometimes an embroidered badge instead of a printed sponsor logo.
Technically, the jackets meet today's standard. A wind-resistant front, breathable back, extended hem and back pockets are usual here too. The difference is in the design, not the function; a classic-looking model keeps you just as dry as a modern one.
The pocket layout also follows the style. Instead of three large back pockets, there is often only one central pocket or patch side pockets. If you carry a lot, check beforehand whether a tube, pump and bars actually fit.
For rainy days, a jacket with a synthetic outer layer is the more practical choice, because wool soaks up water in continuous rain.
