For gravel rides, gloves with a little more padding and a grippier palm than on the road bike are suitable. Gravel and uneven tracks create stronger vibrations that you notice over many hours.

Padded zones on the palm can reduce pressure on the nerves. Non-slip inserts provide grip on the handlebars, even when your hands sweat or there is dust on the grips. Full-finger gloves offer better protection if you crash on loose ground.

For cold mornings, there are lined models that remain thin enough for braking.
