Hip packs - easy to carry and store

Hip packs sit at the hip instead of on the back.
When a hip pack is the better choice
If your luggage consists of a tube, multitool, bar, keys, and phone, a hip pack is completely enough. It is quicker to reach than a backpack, puts the weight low, and does not get in the way when you look over your shoulder. On long tours with spare clothing and several liters of water, it reaches its limits.
What matters for fit
The belt must sit tight enough not to slip while pedaling and be wide enough not to dig in. Models with a bottle cage move the weight to the back, which is more comfortable on the bike than at the side. Make sure the bag does not collide with the saddle or the jersey pockets.
On the bike, wear the bag low on the hip bone rather than at the waist. Higher up, it presses against the ribs in a forward-leaning position.
