Gore Wear under-helmet caps for men are close-fitting caps for wearing under the helmet.
Which under-helmet cap when?
In summer, a thin under-helmet cap absorbs sweat and protects a bald head or short hair from sunburn through the helmet vents. In the transitional season, it keeps you slightly warm. In winter, a windproof under-helmet cap keeps your head and ears warm, which are otherwise exposed to the wind under the helmet as you ride.
Because the under-helmet cap sits under the helmet, it must lie smoothly. Thick seams or a knot at the back of the head press noticeably after an hour.
Tip: Readjust the helmet after you put on the under-helmet cap. The adjustment dial at the back of the head usually has to be set one notch wider.
