Numbness in the fingers after long rides is often caused by pressure on the heel of the hand, which padding in the palm relieves.
Non-slip material on the palms makes it easier to operate gears and brakes, even with damp hands. For the transitional seasons there are models with a slightly windproof upper that are not yet a full winter glove.
Tip: Try gloves on snug, but check the finger length, because fingers that are too short press on the fingertips.
