ABUS bike locks

The different designs solve the same problem in different ways. A chain lock is the most flexible when locking up and also the heaviest. A folding lock can be carried compactly on the frame.

The security levels do not scale in a linear way: the step from level 7 to 10 means a much bigger difference in the effort needed to break the lock than the step from 4 to 6.

Tip: Always lock the frame as well, not only the front wheel. This applies regardless of the security level and is the most common mistake when parking a bike.
