Winter cycling shoes

A winter shoe replaces the combination of summer shoe and overshoe and therefore fits more cleanly, because nothing slips.

The difference to an overshoe

An overshoe is the cheaper and more flexible solution, a winter shoe the warmer one. If you ride regularly in frost, the shoe goes further, because the insulation is inside and there are no ventilation openings in the first place.

Size

Choose winter shoes half a size to a full size larger, so that thicker socks fit and the foot keeps some room. A constricted foot gets cold, no matter how well the shoe is insulated.
