Alé technical base layers from the women's range are available sleeveless as well as with short and long sleeves.
Alé base layers for women
All of them wick sweat away from the skin to the jersey, where it can evaporate. The sleeve length determines less the warmth than the area over which this transport takes place — which is why a base layer makes sense even in high summer and is not extra ballast.
The fabric fits skin-tight and adds no bulk under the jersey. A loose-fitting base layer loses its function because there is no skin contact.
Tip: Do not leave out the base layer on hot days, but replace it with a sleeveless mesh model. Without a layer in between, the wet jersey sticks directly to your skin and chills you noticeably on the first descent.
