Which cycling gloves are suitable for trail and enduro?

For trail and enduro, gloves with a more robust, grippier palm and often a reinforced back of the hand are suitable; they offer extra protection in crashes on technical terrain – with a much greater focus on protection than the lighter gloves used in road cycling.

Thin but effective padding reduces vibrations from roots and stones, while non-slip details on the inside of the fingers ensure secure grip on the handlebars even when your hands are sweaty or slightly wet. As full-finger gloves, many models reach beyond the wrist to provide extra protection against abrasion and scratches in a crash.

For the cold season, lined winter gloves complete the range; despite the insulation, they must retain enough finger sensitivity for precise braking on technical, often slippery terrain.

Tip: On technical terrain with a high risk of crashing, choose a glove with a reinforced back of the hand, as this area is particularly often affected when you instinctively put out your hands.
