For winter off-road
Off-road, a winter shoe needs a sole with tread so that you can also push the bike on wet forest ground. A high cuff stops snow and mud from getting in.
Tip: After muddy rides, do not put the shoe on the radiator. Too much heat damages the bonding and the membrane.
