Face masks for cycling

A face mask covers mouth, nose, and cheeks and complements a hat or balaclava. In frost and wind, the skin of the face is the spot that hurts first.

Avoiding fogging

This is the most important point: the mouth area needs open material or vents. Otherwise your breath rises and fogs your glasses, and that makes the mask useless.

What else works

You can also wear thin models in summer as dust and sun protection. Multifunctional scarves do the same job and can be folded more flexibly, but they sit less firmly.
