For trail and enduro use, a cycling jacket must withstand more than on the road. The selection is correspondingly different.

Robust, loose, ventilated

It has a looser cut so that there is room for protectors underneath. Its outer material is more resistant, because contact with vegetation and the ground is part of everyday riding. And it has larger vents, because speed off-road is low and effort is high.

Extended backs keep spray from the rear wheel away.

One detail that matters off-road: cuffs that fit over the glove. If the sleeve ends under the glove cuff, rainwater runs directly into the glove and your hands are cold after ten minutes.

Looking for full rain protection and maximum ventilation in one item usually ends in a compromise that does neither job well.
