Toe covers for cycling
What is a toe cover?
A short cover that only covers the toe of the shoe. It sits over the front ventilation openings and leaves the heel and ankle free.
That is enough on many autumn days, because the toes get cold first. They are at the front in the headwind, hardly move when pedalling and have poorer circulation than the rest of the foot. A full overshoe would often be too warm at twelve degrees; a toe cover would not.
It weighs almost nothing and fits folded in the jersey pocket. For rides that start in the dark and end in the midday sun, it is the easiest solution.
