Which underwear goes with which shorts
There are two types of cycling underwear for the lower body. Inner shorts with a chamois pad are worn under bike shorts that have no pad of their own. Long base layer underpants without a pad are a warming layer for winter, for example under long trousers without a pad or for cross-country skiing.
Under padded cycling shorts, on the other hand, you do not wear any further underwear. The pad should lie directly on your skin, or seams and fabric will rub exactly where the saddle puts the load.
transtex wicks moisture away from the skin to the outside and dries quickly. Löffler uses the material in underwear for cycling, cross-country skiing and running.
Tip: If you ride bike trousers without a pad in winter, combine them with padded inner shorts. That way you keep the seating comfort, and the outer trousers need washing less often.
