The safety vest is the most effective single item of clothing for better visibility. You can pull it over any existing clothing, and it weighs almost nothing.
Two designs, two uses
The classic mesh safety vest is light, can be carried folded and is put on when it gets dark. Wind gilets with visibility features also provide wind protection and therefore replace a second item of clothing.
The all-round strip is decisive. A vest that only reflects at the front and back leaves the side open, and that is exactly where critical situations occur at junctions. Models with strips over the shoulder and around the torso cover all directions.
In some companies, safety vests are compulsory on the premises and can then also be used for the ride there.
A light mesh vest fits rolled up in any jersey pocket. If you set off in the afternoon in autumn, you then have it with you even if the ride home takes longer than planned.
