Chain or cable
Cable locks are lighter and easy to carry on the frame, but they offer less resistance to bolt cutters.
Master Lock was founded in 1921 and, in addition to bike locks, mainly makes padlocks.
If you leave your bike unattended for longer, for example at the station, go for a chain lock. For a short stop at a café, a cable lock is often enough.
Tip: Use a cable lock in addition to the chain lock to secure the front wheel and saddle as well. Different lock types require different tools to break.
