Bandanas

You wear a bandana under the helmet. It absorbs sweat before it runs into your eyes. Unlike a cycling cap, it has no visor and adds almost no bulk.

Who uses it

It is valued mostly on hot days and for heavy sweating. It is also popular with a shaved head, because it protects the scalp from the sun and from direct contact with the helmet pads.

Tying

You can tighten tied models individually. Pre-sewn ones go on faster. On the bike, a flat knot matters more than looks, because otherwise the helmet does not sit flat.
