Liv rain jackets protect you from showers and steady rain on the bike.
What matters in a rain jacket
A cycling rain jacket has to do more than a normal weather jacket. It should keep water out, not flap when you pedal and be long enough at the back that nothing is exposed when you are bent over. It also matters how much water vapour the membrane lets out. If you sweat on climbs, a waterproof but barely breathable jacket will leave you wet from the inside.
Two values help you compare: the hydrostatic head and the breathability. For short showers, a light jacket that packs down small is enough; for long rides in steady rain, a jacket with a high hydrostatic head and taped seams is worth it.
Liv rain jackets are cut for women; shoulders and sleeve length follow Liv's women's sizes.
Tip: Reproof the jacket regularly. If water no longer beads off, the water-repellent finish is worn out.
