Named Sport bars are food for on the go and for after the ride.

Energy or protein

Energy bars mainly provide carbohydrates on the go, while protein bars are more for recovery after the ride. Bars are easier to eat on quiet stretches than at high speed. It is best to eat them before a climb, while there is still time to chew.

Tip: In winter, carry bars in your jersey pocket close to your body. Cold bars go hard and are almost impossible to bite with gloves on.
