Cycling rain pants at a glance
Two constructions are available. Over-pants are pulled over the cycling shorts and can be put on on the road without taking off your shoes. For that, they need a long leg zipper. Rain pants with an integrated chamois replace the cycling shorts completely and are meant for tours where rain is expected from the start.
If the pants end too high up, water runs into the shoe, and then the best jacket helps little.
