They are made of the functional material transtex, which Löffler also uses for its underwear.

Why dedicated cycling socks

Cycling socks are thinner than normal sports socks. Nothing should crease in the tight cycling shoe, otherwise pressure points form that hurt on long rides. The material transports moisture outwards so that your foot stays drier in the shoe. Dry feet are more comfortable in summer and warmer in winter.

The height of the cuff is mainly a question of taste. In road cycling, mid-height socks are common; in winter, higher socks together with overshoes keep your ankles warm.

Because Löffler also uses transtex for underwear, you can put together socks and underwear from one material family.

Tip: Always try on new cycling shoes with the socks you will later ride in. Even a thicker fabric noticeably changes the fit.
