Triathlon shoes

Triathlon shoes are made for getting in quickly: a loop on the heel and a wide hook-and-loop strap can be operated even while moving.

Without socks

In competition, athletes ride barefoot. The lining is therefore soft and has few seams, and openings in the sole let water from the swim drain away.

Heel loop and fit

The heel loop is used to fix the shoe to the bike with a rubber band until you have jumped on. This saves seconds in transition, but needs practice.

Because you ride without socks, the fit is tighter than with your usual cycling shoe. Try it on barefoot.
