Why loose shorts off-road?
Bike shorts leave room for knee pads, protect your skin better in falls than thin Lycra and withstand contact with branches and rocks. They look like normal shorts and are also worn after the ride. Side pockets hold keys or a bar.
ION organises its clothing into lines by use. For shorts and trousers, this ranges from light models for cross-country and long tours to robust shorts for enduro and the bike park. Whether shorts have a chamois pad is shown by the suffix "without pad" in the product name.
Tip: Wear padded cycling underwear under shorts without a pad. For short laps in the bike park, some riders do without.
