Tri suits for triathlon

A tri suit is worn continuously from the swim to the run. The pad is therefore thin: it must not absorb water during the swim and must not get in the way between the legs on the run. On the bike, it is therefore less comfortable than a cycling pad, but that is the price of continuous use.

One-piece or two-piece

One-piece suits fit more smoothly and do not ride up at the back. Two-piece suits are more practical for toilet stops and easier to handle over long distances.

Sleeves or sleeveless

Short sleeves have an aerodynamic advantage and protect the shoulders from the sun. Sleeveless models are more comfortable in the water and cooler in hot weather. Both are common for short distances.

Try it on as you will start, not over underwear.
