Summer cycling socks for best moisture management

Summer socks for cycling are thin, close-fitting, and built for ventilation. They should move moisture to the outside and add as little bulk as possible in the tight cycling shoe.
What matters in summer socks
Three things are decisive. The material should pass on moisture instead of storing it, which is why cotton has no place in a cycling shoe. The fit must be free of wrinkles, because every wrinkle becomes a pressure point over a hundred kilometers. Add targeted mesh zones and light compression.
Neither is marketing: the mesh sits exactly where the shoe itself is ventilated, and the compression holds the sock in place while you pedal.
Models with a firmer shaft and light compression come from the racing segment. For everyday riding, it matters more that the top band does not cut in. A sock that squeezes the calf bothers you after two hours more than a few extra grams.
Wash cycling socks inside out. The dirt sits on the inside, and the outside keeps its color longer.
