Cycling shorts without chamois
Shorts without a seat chamois are worn over liner shorts or cycling underwear that bring the chamois.
Why separate
You must wash the chamois after every ride, but not the outer shorts. If you separate the two, you wash less and extend the life of the more expensive shorts. You can also choose the chamois by ride length, without changing the whole shorts.
Best for:
The combination suits commuters and touring riders who do not want to show up at the destination in cycling shorts. It is also common off-road, because the outer shorts are sturdier there anyway.
Look for a flat leg hem on the liner. Two layers with raised seams in the same spot chafe.
