For training on the trainer, the list of accessories is short, but every item on it directly affects the quality of your training.
Drink, cool, refuel
The need for fluids is much higher indoors than outdoors, because there is no headwind for cooling. A powerful fan replaces it at least partly.
Gloves are often left out on the trainer, but are useful for riders who sweat heavily, because otherwise the handlebar gets slippery.
With sports nutrition, the needs differ from road training. Interval sessions on the trainer are short and hard, which is why drinks with carbohydrates make more sense than solid bars, which sit heavily in the stomach during high intensity.
A towel over the top tube protects the frame and stem from sweat. It contains salt and attacks paint and bolts more than rainwater.
