In city traffic, a gilet is often the more practical solution than a jacket. It keeps the upper body warm, leaves the arms free and does not have to be taken off for a short stop.

Between shirt and coat

Especially in spring and autumn, the temperature varies considerably between the outward and return trip. A gilet covers a wide range: over a jumper in the morning, over a shirt in the evening. In the city, the distances are short enough that wind on the arms rarely bothers you.

Models for everyday use have discreet colours and a cut that fits over everyday clothing. Reflective details on the hem and pockets increase visibility without changing the character.

There are two directions for materials: thin, windproof gilets for mild days and padded models that keep you extra warm on cold days.

Make sure the armholes are wide enough. Over a jumper, tight-fitting sports gilets restrict uncomfortably.
