Gel or slim
Alongside slim versions, there are models with gel inserts in the palm. They dampen vibrations from the handlebar and the road and relieve the spots where pressure builds up on long rides. This helps above all riders who spend a lot of time on a road bike or gravel bike and keep their hands in the same position for a long time.
Which version suits you better depends on your bar tape, your bike and your own feel. If you ride with thickly padded bar tape, a slimmer glove often works well.
Short finger gloves leave your fingertips free and are more comfortable on warm days than long finger models.
Tip: Wash summer gloves after every second or third ride. Otherwise sweat and salt make the palm material stiff.
