What matters in cycling gloves

A cycling glove protects your hand in a fall, cushions the pressure on the handlebars and keeps you warm in winter. Short-finger gloves are common for summer, and long-finger gloves with a windproof back for cooler days. In severe cold, thicker winter gloves help, but they reduce your feel for the shift and brake levers.

Löffler comes from cross-country skiing, where gloves that are warm and grip well at the same time are important. This experience with the cold is also part of its winter clothing for cycling.

If you want to cover several seasons, you can combine a thin long-finger glove for spring and autumn with a thick model for winter.

Tip: With winter gloves, make sure there is a little room at the fingertips. There must be some air between your fingers and the fabric, otherwise circulation is restricted and your fingers get cold despite the insulation.
