Thermo or Windstopper?
The Thermo base layer is the base layer under your jersey and jacket on cold days. A base layer with WINDSTOPPER also keeps out the wind. This can make sense under a jersey if you do not wear a jacket; under a windproof jacket, on the other hand, it adds little extra protection.
A base layer should fit closely. Only then can it absorb moisture directly from your skin. If it fits loosely, sweat collects on your skin and cools you down on the next descent.
Tip: In winter, it is better to wear a long-sleeve base layer and a lighter jacket than a short-sleeve base layer under a very warm jacket. This way, you can regulate the warmth better.
