Headwear in team design

Among the headwear of the pro teams, the classic cycling cap with a short visor is the best-known piece. You wear it under the helmet or after the race on the podium.

Under the helmet, it serves two purposes: the visor keeps low sun and raindrops off the glasses, and the fabric absorbs sweat before it runs into the eyes.

Nothing may add bulk under the helmet. A cap that is too thick changes the fit, and then the helmet no longer sits correctly.
