HAD balaclavas for men cover your head, neck and part of your face in one piece.
Balaclava or scarf and cap?
A combination of an under-helmet cap and a multifunctional scarf can be adapted to the weather more flexibly, because you can take off each item separately. A balaclava, on the other hand, has no gap between head and neck through which cold air can get in. If you ride at sub-zero temperatures or commute to work, you are often better protected with a balaclava.
If you wear glasses, your breath easily rises up and makes the lenses fog up. The balaclava should therefore sit so that your nose stays free or the mouth area is airy.
Tip: Push the face section under your chin on the climb. This way, no sweat builds up, and it is quickly back up before the descent.
