Helmet liners
A thin cap that sits under the helmet and protects the scalp from the wind. It is the flattest of all headwear and changes the helmet fit the least.
For which temperatures
For the range where a winter cycling cap is already too warm and a bare head is already too cold. At single-digit temperatures, you add a thicker solution.
Hygiene
The liner has direct skin contact and absorbs sweat. After intense rides, it belongs in the wash. Otherwise odor settles into the material.
