Warmth under the helmet
An under-helmet cap is a thin hat worn under the bike helmet. In winter, it keeps your head and, depending on the model, your ears warm; in summer, a light version absorbs sweat before it runs into your eyes. Löffler offers both: models with Windstopper for cold days and light caps made of transtex.
So that the helmet still fits correctly, the cap must be thin and close-fitting. A normal winter hat does not fit under a bike helmet and would reduce protection, because the helmet would then no longer sit firmly on your head.
Tip: After wearing it with a cap for the first time, readjust the dial on the helmet. The helmet must not move when you shake your head.
