Care for rain jackets
Conventional detergents leave a thin film that attracts water, which is why Nikwax offers its own detergents for functional clothing.
A rain jacket on which water no longer beads off is often not broken. Washing and reproofing are often enough to make it waterproof and breathable again.
Tip: Treat the shoulders and forearms particularly carefully when reproofing. On the bike, that is where the rain hits hardest.
