What matters

Front lights, for example from VDO, should light up the road without dazzling oncoming riders. Rear lights make your bike visible from behind.

Many lights show the battery level so that you are not suddenly left in the dark.

Tip: Angle the front light so that the centre of the beam hits the road about ten metres in front of the bike.
