Shimano was established in Japan in 1921 and has become a synonym for high-end bicycle components.
Shimano pedals and pedal cleats are wide-spread among road bike and MTB cyclists. The SPD has turned into a popular pedal system for MTB cyclists, while the SPD-SL is widely appreciated by road bike cyclists.
Shimano's passion for cycling and bicycles as such can be seen in its wide range of maintenance products, such as oil spray, degreaser, cleaner, polish spray or grease.
Today, Shimano also offers textile products such as cycling backpacks, hydration packs or shoe covers.
