With the Cadet XC, Giro introduces a shoe that makes it easy for beginners to get started in the sport, while also appealing to experienced cycling pioneers. Thanks to the Syncwire upper and the BOA closure, the shoe offers an excellent fit and adjustability, holding the foot securely in place and providing a direct connection to the shoe. Well-balanced power transfer is also guaranteed by the nylon-reinforced fiberglass sole, which isn't so stiff that every root is transmitted to the foot, yet stiff enough to hold its own on steep climbs. Thanks to micro-perforation in the upper, the shoe is extremely breathable, and a two-part tongue prevents pinching on the instep. The medium arch support contributes to the shoe's comfortable fit, as does the anatomically shaped but not overly narrow heel area. The shoe offers the perfect entry into both XC and gravel riding, supporting the rider on any terrain.
