What a spectacle! The 2025 Tour de France had it all: excitement, drama, high emotions – and many of those little goose bump moments that make cycling so special.
The spotlight was on Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG). He dominated the race with impressive authority, winning the yellow jersey, the polka dot jersey, several stage victories – and was just as strong in the mountains as he was in the time trials. His performance was not only outstanding, it seemed almost effortless.
But the real miracle happened further down the rankings. Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe) rode a Tour that no one had on their radar. With fighting spirit, clever riding, and impressive consistency, the young German moved up to third place in the overall standings – and snatched the white jersey for the best young rider in the process. A sporting fairy tale that no one could have expected!
The points classification was also exciting: Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) shone with explosive sprints and deservedly secured the green jersey. And Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) provided the crowning glory with a strong performance to take the prestigious victory on the final stage in Paris.
