Bobshop has been named best online shop for cycling accessories in the ntv Award "Germany's Best Online Shops 2026" (DISQ category "Bicycles & Cycling Accessories") with a score of 80.8 out of 100 points, ahead of Fahrrad-XXL.de (80.1) and Zweirad-Stadler.de (79.9). The award was presented on September 1, 2026, at the Bertelsmann representative office in Berlin and accepted by Anne Nanni and Angelo Nanni, Bobshop's managing partner. This marks the tenth consecutive year that Bobshop has placed among the top 3 in this category, and its fifth overall win since 2016.

The 2026 ntv Award at a glance

The ntv Award "Germany's Best Online Shops" is presented annually by the Deutsches Institut für Service-Qualität (DISQ) on behalf of the German news channel ntv. Founded in 2006, DISQ is a privately held market research institute based in Hamburg that, according to its own statements, does not conduct commissioned studies for individual companies.

For the 2026 study series, a total of 900 companies were reviewed, 873 of which were evaluated across 96 individual categories. Between February 17 and April 12, 2026, around 67,348 people aged 18 and over were surveyed — each required to have had actual contact with the shop being rated within the past twelve months. Ratings were based on seven criteria with different weightings: price-to-performance ratio (20%), product range (15%), customer service (15%), website/app (15%), shipping and returns (15%), ordering and payment terms (10%), and likelihood to recommend (10%).

DISQ is supported by an advisory board of experts from business, academia, and media, including former federal minister Brigitte Zypries, Hamburg marketing professor Michel Clement, and representatives from Civey and ntv. The institute itself reports employing a team of economists, sociologists, and psychologists, along with more than 2,000 trained testers nationwide. This structure sets the study apart from simple online surveys: the criteria and their weightings have remained stable over the years, which is what makes comparisons between years such as 2020 and 2026 meaningful in the first place.

In the Bicycles & Cycling Accessories category, fourteen online shops were named and rated by respondents in 2026. The shops do not compete directly against one another — each is assessed independently by real customers.

It's also worth comparing these figures to the average across all 14 rated shops: the overall average score is 78.1 points, meaning Bobshop beats it by 2.7 points. The gap is even more pronounced in the criteria where Bobshop leads: the industry average for customer service is 77.5 points, while Bobshop scores 82.4 — a lead of nearly 5 points. For product range, the average is 79.6, compared to Bobshop's 83.3.

How to interpret Bobshop's price-to-performance ratio

A rank of 6 in the most heavily weighted criterion (20%) is the most striking figure in the entire table — though a rank of 6 out of 14 still puts Bobshop solidly in the upper midfield.
