The aero helmet from Team Visma-Lease A Bike! The helmet was developed in close cooperation with the team and their star rider Jonas Vingegaard and represents a significant improvement in aerodynamics and weight compared to its predecessor. In wind tunnel tests, the helmet showed a 17% improvement in aerodynamics, which was particularly important to the team now that wearing the Aerohead1 helmet is no longer permitted. However, the plan was also to develop an aero helmet that is not only used on flat stages, but is also suitable for hot mountain stages and is therefore more versatile than its predecessor and the competition. With a weight of just 270g and a ventilation system with 14 openings developed in the wind tunnel, this is exactly what has been achieved and an additional lightweight helmet is hardly needed. Safety has also been taken into account and the helmet features Giro's exclusive Mips Spherical system as well as a hardbody polycarbonate shell.
